I stay away from 2nd gens. 3.slow is one of Toyota's worse engines and they are a crammed in there which makes wrenching on them a pita. The 3.4 is a much better engine and has a lot of room in the engine bay which makes the occasional wrenching they require a breeze. Some 2nd Gens came with the 22re, that I would buy.

Damn, sounds like we are definitely homies. It's funny though, my mom dated someone form canton before I was born and she told me his parents broke it off because my mom was "from the other side of the tracks" LOL. We might be brothers. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA As a teen i dated a girl from down in Canton too. Her last name was Appel like apple but with the revered L & E.

Yea, when I picked up my caddi I immediately picked up the nick name PFunk (P being the first letter in my last name).

Ahhh, those were the days huh?

I had a 95 that I sold to my buddy, only because the HG issue was solved by the last MY. Too little too late. But besides that, unless you're comfortable ripping that 3.0 out and sending a 3.4 back into its chest, I wouldn't bother fixing a burnt valve.

Replacing a pressure tank is not that hard. It does sound like your issue.

Either that or the pressure valve is stuck open. My money is on the bladder being busted. +1 @Fire Arrow

They are fun as hell, though. Took my old one to Anthracite on stock EVERYTHING, only 32" Nankang MTs, had no issues even when we crossed on to blue paths. Just has a gutless motor that is known to have issues. Plenty of motor swaps to be done, from Mercedes diesel to SBCs to JZ engines.

Cars were getting turned around at work because the exit was washed out with almost 2 ft of water yesterday. I can cross a decent water crossing of the list now.
