Count me as another with Superbumps. I've been happy with them for all of the reasons already posted.

Timbren makes 2 types. SES for hauling, and Active Off-road for... well.... off-roading. I used Timbren SES with stock leaf packs to handle constant 1000 lb load in my truck (loaded up slide-in camper) for about a year before I upgraded to Dakars when I did my OME suspension upgrade. I have had airbags in the past and FAR prefer he Timbrens. If you are using them for enhancing suspension to accommodate a load, get Timbrens.

Also, FWIW I have wheelers superbumps on the front as just more of a what the hell add-on when I ordered my suspension. They're good for what they are. Nothing special.

I read in another thread that you might have to add spacers to the superbumps to prevent bottoming out the shock in some situations. Has anyone found that necessary for a bilstein 5100s and a 2.5" lift?

Do you keep your camper(what brand?) on your truck all the time? If not how does your truck ride without the camper? Thanks.

I sold the truck but I only had the camper on part-time. With the Dakars, OME original Nitro shocks. and Timbrens the truck rode awesome loaded and unloaded.

still tying to make them work,
have drilled 2 1/2 drain holes at base and 4 holes mid way,
if Can't fine tune to suit then soon as can afford going to try sumo springs bolted to my flip kit. u bolt flip that came with them is a good item. wish just got the high dollar low range sumo flip kit. buy and learn.
timbrem at a point give a harder sudden stop than stock and when filled with water or dirt move very little before sudden thud and bounce ,
    just wished to warn others

How well do the Super Bumps work on a stock suspension? My front bottoms out occasionally in the forest and it's pretty darn rough when it does.

Exactly why I am mine. With super bumps I hard to even tell wh you bottom out. None of the harsh bang with OEM

I should have updated my post. The Superbumps really make a difference in soaking up the bumps. The harsh ride of the OEM front suspension on rough roads is partially the result of the rock hard bump stops. I tell everyone I know who owns a Tacoma about these.

Once I get the 5100's and 620lb Eibach springs installed I'm going to see how it drives without the sway bar. I think that will be the final key to smoothing the rough road ride.

That is what I ended up doing.
    Works great.
    Pleased with them now.
Would recommend doing it this way.

Anybody know the durometer or approximate of superbumps (rear), timbren (active off-road) vs. timbren (ses)? Superbumps were nice until i put on some weight. At 500lbs. probably more wondering if I should go with active or ses. @Wheeler's Off-Road Inc. dont want them to be too harsh.

    For this.

The timbrens are hollow with an open top when mounted to the axle. Thus, they fill with all manner of shit. By mounting them to the bumpstop pads on your frame they empty out on their own.

I have the normal kit, because I needed them when my leafs collapsed in MT. If I could have planned ahead I would have got the u-bolt flip kit from Amazon.

Your suspension geometry will always swing your bumpstop into the bumpstop pad.
