Selling my front bumper due to SAS. Bumper will have to be hacked up too much to look good so I'm selling and starting over :(. I wanted a bumper that I would not have to worry about bending or using to push or brace against another vehicle for whatever reason. Most all aftermarket bumpers are 1/8" construction...so I built my own.

    Specs.

1/4" steel plate construction with tubular inner mounting brackets. Bumper has 1" thick D-Ring mounts from Ballistic Fabrication as well as a gusseted 2" receiver in the front for use with a winch on a cradle ( I did this so I could winch front or rear with the same unit). A friend of mine and I constructed this bumper to be overkill...You'll never bend it unless you total the truck. When it came time to mount we seriously considered welding it on.. Instead I plated the frame horns and added a 1/4" rectangular tube crossmember and drilled 3 holes for 1/2" grade 8 bolts.

In order for this unit to work on your truck you will need to add the crossmember for a bolt on application. It could be very easily welded on as well. I will include a picture of the crossmember so you have a good idea of what I'm talking about.

    On to the skid plates.

I matched 3/16th" steel up with the bottom of the bumper to created a flat surface from the bottom of the bumper all the way back to the rack and pinion. The skid plate is remove-able but has hole cut in the center for easy oil drain access. The skid plate is mated to the bumper with 4 grade 10 1/4' counter sunk, flat hex head allen screws....it then attaches to the rear most crossmember with 2 of the same screws ( I have about a dozen screws I will throw in). The skid plates are turned up on each side as to protect the radiator from sticks or any other object entering and damaging your cooling system.

This was a very well thought out design and I'm a little disappointed that I can't keep it. I have a lot of money and time tied up in this thing but ultimately it is what it is.

Even with the heavy construction the bumper weighs roughly 125lbs (skid plate is another 40ish).

    $500 OBO

Local pickup in North MS only.

Is the crossmember a bolt on endevour or would it need to be welded in.

I have mine welded in. You could drill some holes and bolt one on I suppose.

I’ll be glad to strap it on a pallet and send it on whatever freight line that will pick it up off the dock.
