Everything is practically brand new, only about 3 weeks old so far.

Professionally assembled, all wiring connections are soldered with heat-shrink. Ready to install as plug-n-play. Everything is ready to go just plug in the factory harness, install the LCD and place the PC in the location you'd like. It is small enough to actually install behind the LCD, not mounted, but with all the wiring it installs and fits snug so no worry about it moving around.

Everything works right out of the box, everything pre-configured.

I decided to go a different route with my audio and everything, as well unexpected financial hiccups, my investment is your new toy!

Still feeling for prices. Its easily comparable to a $1200+ commercial product.
    asking $800 obo
    LOWERED PRICE $700 OBO
Lowered Price even more - MUST SELL PLZ $650 obo

I sold all the car-puter specific items, only have the MB, Ram, and SSD left, if anyone is interested in these computer components only, let me know otherwise I'll consider this post and sale as final.

I have to admit with this being plug and play it is an attractive option. However, I just ordered a new HU so I'm not in the running for it!

Thanks, yeah I'm hoping that's the one major benefit of my system. I made it so that it can easily be installed / uninstalled - exactly for this situation. There were no permanent mods done to the truck - everything is just like a commercial head-unit as far as installation.

Thanks for the interest, but that new HU doesn't have half of what this system does :p

I'm interested in it, but have a few questions.

Seems like you put a lot of work into it, may I ask why you are selling it only after 3 weeks?

Where do you have the PC mounted right now and what does the case look like?

You didn't list a DVD drive, is there one in the PC case, or else how do you put in a DVD disc?

Are you including the wire harness, dash kit, and amp in the sale?

Can you post a video (youtube or something) of the system working?

    Thanks.

It was an impulse project buy, I'd always wanted to do one, and missed the opportunity in my old Scion tC (perfect car for these things). But due to some unexpected events, I find myself needing the money instead. Simply put - financial reasons! :(

I currently have the system sitting in the glovebox, simply for easy removal as I was getting everything setup and tweaked. I also do not have a actual case, as it was planned to fit inside the dash and didn't have room for that much. The only components are the motherboard, power-supply, and Amp. It is possible for everything to sit behind the LCD, tight fit, but it will work.

I do not have a DVD drive included. A USB drive would be optimal, I simply never found a need for one as of yet as all my media is already digital (movies, music, etc.) I do most of my file transfers either directly over wifi (parked in the driveway i can connect to my home network) or I pull the HDD out (Sata SSD) and connect it to a computer in the house (for large uploads). Even with the system installed behind the dash, a USB DVD drive could still remain in the glovebox for easy access, or I'll include a usb extension cable and run that for thumbdrive access.

The wiring harness, dashkit, amp, everything is included to simply plug it in and go. This is, I feel, one of the perks of this buy, everything is already done, and in professional quality (self promotion).

The system is pretty much a standard Centrafuse front-end if you wanted to see what all it was capable of there are plenty of vids out there already. If you'd prefer a specific video of this install for proof that it works, that can be arranged as well.

Hope this helps, and as stated, considering all offers.

Yes on the ipod/iphone hookup for playing music.

I'm not sure on the tethering, but if you can do that with a normal windows pc, then yes (I don't own an iphone) - I tether through my WinMo phone though.

At it's core, its just a standard Windows7 PC - so whatever you could do on that, you can do on this.

Can you describe how it powers on and off? I'm guess it wakes from sleep. A video of the whole process of a working system would be nice to see to get a good idea of what it is.

I'll try to get a video of the system in action - until then - it basically works like this. The main power feed from the factory wiring harness is used, along with the remote wire which all feeds into a DC-DC converter. This is a smart converter that is made specifically for these applications. It is configurable but right now I have it set for an immediate bootup when power is present, the system boots from a hibernated state (hybrid sleep/hybrid with Win7) - it boots from an SSD so this is pretty quick. When power is turned off the system continues to run for 5 seconds (configured) and then sends a shut-down signal to the PC - this is when the PC goes into hibernate. It could be configured to go to sleep only, and continue to feed power for 30 min, 2 hours, or indefinitely. 30min would be a good option for when you just do quick runs into the store or whatever - but I'm happy with how it is now.

    Hope that helps.

Still have everything actually, I went ahead and took everything out as I was going to try and part it out instead. It really is pretty sweet. Wish I could keep it.

Man, I wish I would have know you still had this. I just ordered everything for my build. Went with the new Lilliput monitor with the HDMI. Anyone that's interested, this is a great setup and his price is almost $500 less for what it'd cost you to build. You can go to newegg.com and mo-co-so.com today and look up the pricing. For those that don't know, the great thing about CarPc's are that they are upgradable over time. Unlike my Avic head unit that all I can change out is a hard drive, you can upgrade memory, processors, etc. Bump for a great price.
