Morimoto XB led fog housings. Goes back to mesojdms true statement. It you have a housing designed for LED, they can be very good.

Drop in led in fogs will project upward and blind traffic.

I'm not sure if they do or not lol. He has only had them in for about 2 months now and hasnt had any issues and they seem to have good reviews, except they only have a few of them so i normally like to hear from people who have had them for awhile.

Op, just like most people on here, I would advise you to do more research about LEDs before committing. Unless you really feel the ones you mentioned are soo good.
I used some HIDs ( I don't know the brand, as they were a gift, and I didn't check) for over six years, in my old 2004 Exploder, for almost 100,000 miles driving on NYC's potholes, without any problems. I understand that's not off roading per se, sometimes felt way worse though, lol

Does anybody know if the housing for the 2016 SR5 headlights are different then the 2017 TRD sport housing?

From what I understand, they are the same exterior size, have the same halogen low beam projectors and high beam reflectors, but TRDs have led DRL, SR5 use turn signal bulbs as DRL. So the same, yet different, lol
Edit: they use the same High, Low beam bulbs.

I personally like my morimoto 2strokes but I like the look of them and live in the city so there is usually enough light anyways. Now...do they have a good throw not really and in snow they are almost non existent. When I got them last year there was reviews on hids having a bounce so I went with led. If and when these die I will probably go hid since it looks and sounds like there are solid kits. The leds do look way better than halogen though regardless of throw. I have my led bar for when I really need to light somethin up..

They are the same bulb size.

If you want a professional opinion, give @theretrofitsource a call. They have been in the automotive lighting industry for quite some time. They will also agree that if you’re truely looking for better performance, HID’s will be the better option, for similar money.

LED is obviously the next big thing but these aftermarket P&P bulbs that are available today simply do not produce similar results of an OEM setup.

Not trying to argue but rather save you the money and headache.

Ill give them a call. I was thinking more that the way the housing projects the beam is different for the TRD versus the SR5.
    Whats P&P?

DRL = Daylight Running Lights, TRDs and Limited have dedicated LED.

I guess it will depend what kind of a fan that is. But yes, might not a best choice for fog lamps

P&P is Plug & Play meaning you’re not having to splice or modify any wiring or the headlamp housing itself.

I bought these for the low and high beams.

    https://www.amazon.com/CougarMotor-...TF8&qid=1501795437&sr=8-1&keywords=b01h6nz7d8

Doesnt blind the cars in front, even if in a low sedan and the light output is way brighter then the stock bulbs. Just getting them in the projector hole was a challenge. I had to remove the front grill, take the screws holding the headlamps off and slowly angle it in. I think they are worth it though.

I use Opt 7 Fluxbeam, no issues, decent light output, plug and play.

I dont have any issues with the light output and really never looked back after replacing the stock bulbs. Are they as powerful as HID's, no, but I'm happy with them.

LED's are brighter but lack range so they fill the space nicely up close but downrange visibility is limited. Doesnt matter to me, as either I'm driving on a lit road, or I'm offroad and I'm using a lightbar anyway.
