The Ranch is mostly drama with sarcastic comedy thrown in, you would have to watch it to see what I mean. Ashton Kutcher and Sam Elliott , Debra Winger. Its actually one I couldnt stop watching

I tried watching that, but it wasn't my cup of tea. I really liked last man standing though. Definitely geared towards conservatives, and it's a shame it got the axe.

The best shows I've watched, by far, are Danish, English, and Norwegian shows on Netflix.. 10/10

I love my 70s American shows though.. streets of San Fran, Vegas, kojak, Bareta, etc.. oh man, would love to watch those again.

What would you make it out of? Just a regular tarp? If you attempt it I'd be curious and may go the same route.

(brought in here so as to not clutter that thread)

Unistrut for the main support. They come in 10ft pieces so I'd cut it in half and rivet a 1 1/2" hinge onto it so you can fold it in when not using it. Then I thought about using some sort of t-nut or spring nut with a hook bolt to attach a tarp that is 10' by whatever you want your length away from the truck to be. It would fold out to the drivers side right under my tent and so I'd have all that room for activities!

Then all you would need is two tent poles and some guy line and you'd be ready for anything. Can even add another tarp for a wind break.

Another option would a large canvas tarp with a pair of these in there for support. It'd still be expensive, but significantly cheaper than an ARB awning,

Nevermind, I'll probably just get a Smittybilt for $200

I wonder how dumb that would look with about 9in of over hang on each side of my rack? Might can get that Smittybilt or an ARB 2000 and mount it on the back. They should be about 6-6.5'...I think the bed might be 5ish'.

I don't think it'd look bad at all. I'll likely get the 8' wide one so I'd have some overhand too

I have, but haven't looked into it too much. If it sets up the way I think it does, I'm not a huge fan. I like the style of the ARB one better.

EDIT: Looked at it closer and I was right. I want something permanently mounted on the truck so it's one less thing I have to store somewhere.

I saw, which would put them around the same price. Hopefully another one rolls around eventually.

I think it would stick about as far as the mirrors on each side but would give a nice area of shade for cooking and chillin. I wish I could find a picture of one that size mounted to the back of a rack.
