I ordered some x-lined rock sliders from Pelfreybilt for my 2014 Tacoma short bed double cab. Total cost came to $1,100.89 including shipping (They have a shipping calculator on their site where you put in your address) shipping alone was $255 which was included in the $1,100.89 total.

A week or so before It's about to arrive I get a call saying I need to pay $130 for residential shipping? Really wasn't expecting that, but decided whatever, I'll just pay it and get it over with.

Today I just got a call and have been told that Pelfreybilt won't pay $130 for a residential truck that has a lift to be able to get them off their truck and I have to or I'll to drive an hour and pick them up.

Kind of a headache, $260 in hidden shipping costs when I really don't have extra money right now on top of already paying $255 for shipping on check out. In contact with them right now to see if there's a mistake, but as it sits this is extremely disappointing.

Hmmm something doesn't add up at all. Usually it IS extra if you ship to a residential address since they need a lift gate to remove the pallet off the truck. It's heavy piece of a item. Same goes for the bumpers, skids, etc.. Usually it just goes to a commercial address. I usually just have them ship to a Fedex/UPS pickup terminal then pick them up there.

So perhaps It's a mistake, then? Especially since I already paid $130 extra for shipping and I'm probably just gonna go pick them up myself?

You gotta call them again and clear it up with them. Don't rely on PM or email. I just went to the shop last Thursday and it was a flawless experience.

New to the Tacoma mod scene. Rock sliders are f'ing expensive for these trucks lol. I was blown away when I started looking at them. And the shipping just makes it worse. Then on most sites it's pay more for DBLC pay more for a stronger version, pay more for powder coating pay more for a kicker pay more for a top plate ! Seriously just give the price finished it would be far less annoying .
