did Tacoma, WA to just north of Los Angeles once in my 98' while i was in college, i think right around 1k miles, just stopped for gas/water/corn nuts/bathroom. my original plan (did this drive many times) was to stop around Sacramento leaving only a 6 hour drive for day 2 but i wasnt tired so kept going. hit a make or break point at Harris Ranch about 90 min north of the Grapevine and about 3 hours left in my drive and decided to push through, that last few hours was the hardest part. i remember going through the drive through at McDonald's for breakfast before pulling into my parents house as the sun came up, walking in and having coffee with my dad and then passing out...

Epic! I drove from Truckee back to LA in a day in my old car - that was enough for me lol.

New Navigation DVD/CD/TV/AV/Bluetooth Stereo and seat mod spacers, 1" hubcentric spacers, seat heaters....
    ...

That's nothing. When I cross country my fastest time was 48 hours driving, 54 on the road. The six hours difference was the one nap I took. Basically drove straight through. Did this every trip for 5 years....

Corn Nuts are the best snack for long drives. Sucks that we can't find them here in FL.

In 2005, we drove from Bakersfield, CA to Jacksonville, FL in 4 days. Our longest day was around 800 miles. We could have done longer drives in shorter time, but we had our 2 dogs. The '01 was only 4 yrs old. Zero issues.

Over a month ago, my wife and did a 2 week road trip that was over 5k miles, hit 13 states. It started in Jacksonville, FL. Our furthest stop was Ontario, OR. Our longest day was almost 800 miles. Came home on a Saturday, in the evening. Checked the truck, changed oil, and rested the next day. Then headed out that Monday morning for another 800+ mile trip to Alabama. Again, this was in my '01. The only real issue was a misfire caused by a bad coil that happened in Salt Lake City.

We are planning another road trip for this December.

It's dayglow orange crackers with peanut butter for me - lime flavored peanuts have been making a strong pull for first though. Either way road trips feel so good when you are seeing new things, eating fun food, and seeing new places having an adventure.

My longest stretch was roughly 12 hours, Anchorage to Dawson City Canada in the Taco Truck, or it might have been that night me and my buddy partied all night long driving from Anchorage to Homer, then back to Anchor Point, then driving back and forth to the bars in different cities all night long. 500 plus miles just messing around.

I think my longest solo was from Port Angeles to Ft St John Canada, (not in a taco). I was going 26+ hours before I finally laid down. I had some problems in canadian customs so I had to waste some time sitting around I probally could have done 1000 miles in one shot before I laid down but RCMP shook me down pretty good. Note to self, delete all your dirty deeds before you cross over those customs agents will have a field day with your phone..

IMG_0074.jpg IMG_0038.jpg 95 regular cab towing 2 motorcycles and the trailer with all the gear to be self sustainable in the truck and on the motorcycles for a month. South Florida to elpaso and all around them from elpaso to Wyoming and back on the bikes about 95% off road. So about 4800 miles in the overloaded truck pulled like a champ and about 3000 miles on the DR650s so almost about 8000 miles total in a month. Was a trip and a adventure of a lifetime IMG_0213.jpgIMG_0206.jpg

Damn, seeing all these, I feel like such a wimp doing 350 miles and feeling worn out...Although that was with a 15 year old suspension. Have a trip coming up I'm looking forward too, but still well under these marathon miles. Y'all crazy!

I drove to Longmont, CO and back in November. About 1000 miles RT. As someone else mentioned, no cruise was kind of painful after a bit. The turbo was nice to have going through the Raton pass!

With the Taco? That would be Tulsa to Tampa, and Tampa to Denver. But in a few weeks, my Taco and I are going in a surfing expedition. Denver to L.A., L.A. to Baja and Baja to Panama! :)

NYC - SF in 4 days on Interstate 80. Was around 3000 miles. I was a maniac on the highway at the end the trip...

Drove to Belize, Central America and back twice in my single cab.
During the first trip traveling through Mexico the AC compressor was going out so ran without A/C.
My Labrador puppy must have suffered some psychological damage because of the extreme heat. 6 years later the poor fellow will not take heat well.

Now at 105lbs he hardly fits with me on the bench seat!

San diego to cabo san lucas...surfed all the way down and back up the coast in 7 days, 2000+ miles there and back...was an epic trip, scored surf both ways which is lucky as hell for baja, and got to wheel through some sketchy dirt roads.

Road trip last started in Corvallis, Oregon to San Francisco, to Odgen Utah, to Flagstaff to moab and then to Missoula Montana then back to Corvallis. That was probably the longest road trip Ive taken in the first gen. I drive from corvallis to Missoula and back which is about 650 miles one way pretty frequently to see the parents.
