    Hello ,
Changing my plugs for the first time, discovered previous owner had installed Autolite APP 3923 plugs. According to my factory book, the NGK LFR6C-11 is the correct plug. What worries me is that the new NGK plugs have a much longer threaded end than the Autolite does. I knoe the NGK should be correct, any advice? I would hate for these new plugs to be too long and ding a piston. Thanks. Look forward to everyone's input

I would trust the manual over what the previous owner decided was okay. You could always buy OEM plugs and you'll definitely be good.

If you have the correct plug , then you should be fine . Double check your numbers
