While doing research on lift kits I came accross thread regarding ORI struts. I would like go with ORIs if possible, but not sure if they will fit properly. I was wondering if anyone has installed these on their 3rd gen? If so, how do they fit? Did you have to do anything special that you might not have to do with regular coilovers? Thanks!

A thread on TW or just in general?

Never heard of them, but it looks like the application is purpose built, light weight, off road rigs based on their gallery.

Are you building something like that? If so I'm super interested in following your build :)

Because you can adjust height, ride stiffness as much as you want, they have built in bump stops so no bottoming out...and you can get rid of sway bar all together...rides better...one peice assembly gives your UCA little bit more room

I ran them on off road only jeeps when I rock crawled
Not sure how they'd do on a street rig
A properly tuned coilover is probably a better bet

You are probally right, but from all the research I have done it seems like ORIs are much easier to tune than regular shocks. With ORIs all you got to do is hook up the tank and change the pressure to whatever desired vs. Shock you have to take the whole strut apart everytime you want to tune it.

Advanced air shock, proabbyl good on rock crawlers and some trail riding but not sure much beyond that.
