you are in the same boat as me before. I had the 886 with ARB bumper and it raised it 3.5 inch up front. I changed to 885 and now its 2.5inch up front that's without winch. if you are gonna add a winch then keep the 886 if not I say try the 887, same spring rate as 885 but I head 887 makes it lift more im gonna say 2.75 maybe

With 100lbs up front and wanting to get 2" of lift, remove the spacers and go with 885s. That'll put you right about there.

Just finished installing the OME LD Dakars with B5160s over the weekend.....have an ARE CX-series cap, some misc gear, hi-lift jack and a shovel. I'm ~ 2.5" over stock....just hope i dont loose it cuz im pretty level right now. Fronts are B6112 set at the 2/1 notch and JBA HD UCA.

    Hello Everyone,

I think I have narrowed down my search for a lift kit to the OME kit with Dakar leaf pack. The Fox and King kits were tempting, but I don't do any hardcore wheeling and I really like the idea of just throwing the parts on and forgetting they are there (versus rebuilding a racing shock every few years). I just wanted to know what you guys recommend in terms of springs, struts, and leafs. I have done a bunch of reading but there just doesn't seem to be a clear cut answer since I am only adding what I consider to be a moderate amount of weight to the front and I wont have the back loaded up all the time. What is going to give me the best compromise for driving with and without weight in the back? Also, where is a good place to purchase a complete kit outside of CA? I want to avoid paying CA sales tax if I can help it. Details about my truck below. I am totally new to all this so thanks in advance for your help and patience.

    My truck:
    2017 TRD OR DCSB

    Weight in front:
Sliders and a full set of aluminum skids in my future.
Hidden winch mount and winch with stock bumper

    Weight in back:
    Toyota tonneua cover
One or two weekends out of the month, the back will be loaded with a RTT and bed rack + camping gear.
I will not keep the rack and RTT on full time because I want to drive it around town and have full use of the bed if I need it.
    I do not tow.

    Usage:
I will most likely only do light to moderate off roading, both with the gear in the back (camping), and without (day trips).
Most days, the truck will be used around town.

    What I hope to accomplish:
I am very happy with the ride and feel of the stock OR suspension but...
I would like slightly improved off road performance.
I would like to run 285/75's for better grip and a little more ground clearance and, if I am being honest, they look cool. I don't care how much the truck is lifted as long as the tires clear everything and it is reasonably level.

Depending on where you are in CA we do offer discounts for Pick up which in this case may offset the taxes. We are in Hemet.

Hahah. Thanks, Marie. I am definitely not trying to mooch information off any retailers. I was just hoping some of the gurus here would point me in the right direction since I am new to suspension upgrades. 9% tax on a couple grand in suspension parts buys a few tanks of gas, but I was always open to buying local if that is what everyone recommended. I am not one to turn my back on someone who has gone out of their way to help me out, just to save a few bucks.

Does this look right? OME 60091 touching the bracket where it mounts, OEM shocks are so skinny they don't touch at all20170819_141105.jpg
