From my experience there is no limit. A dealer can trade or buy from another dealer with no issue

 

I was thinking that. I work at a Lexus dealer and we can get a car from any dealer but we choose to keep it local for shipping costs.

 

Yea my ex works for toyota. Same principle. They pay obviously a shipping company and at some point the cost to transfer outweighs the savings..

 

Put a deposit down. Now they are going to try and locate the truck I want. I was specific in stating the color, model and package it needs to be. I said if they find something else, don't call me. I'm not paying for a truck I don't want.

 

To be clear and accurate, the sport has colour matched grill, handles, mirrors, rear bumper and a hood scoop. The OR has chrome grill and rear bumper and black mirrors/handles.

The OR has an electronic brake booster which enables the ATRAC traction control system. The sport does not. The OR also has the e-locker which the sport does not have.

The sport has linear springs in the front, the off-road has progressive springs.

Both are TRD models and have the bucket seats, back up cameras, fog lights, skid plates and tow package.

 

What I told the salesman was, 2015, white, TRD off-road, dual cab/short bed with a manual transmission.
It's funny that they had the accessory manager come over and said when they find the truck he can go over the accessories that are available such a undercoating.

 

The odds of you finding this are horribly low...

 

I found a couple but they are quite a distance away. I went to the dealer to see if they can find one closer. I know they are out there and I'm not in a rush.

 

What happens when they find 1, have it shipped there, and it turns out to be a pile of junk?

 

We would have to agree on a price first and if it's junk I'll tell them I don't want it. I'm going text the salesman and tell her that it has to be in good shape and to send me pictures of the truck before it's shipped.

I spoke to the salesman and the used car sales manager won't be in until Monday. So I wont hear anything until next week.

While driving around for work I stopped into another dealer and asked if they could locate one.

 

Spoke to the sales person today. The used car manager is on vacation. I should hear something on Monday.

I did see a nice 2015 Corolla S Plus at the same dealership.

 

No word yet on whether they found a truck or not. I'll call them on Monday.

I did replace the evaporator in my 2009 Lexus ES350, now at least my A/C will work.

 

i recall reading something like only 4% of tacos are a manual transmission. no matter what, finding something that happens to be near you is a long shot. perhaps crunch some numbers and find out just how much transfer/etcetc fee added into the deal would still work for ya, since you can bet that you can find what you want but its gonna be somewhere in bumfuck =]

i had to get mine sight unseen off the trailer as it was being brought in. someone tried to buy it out from under me later that day. silly. not knocking the auto in these trucks, apparently theyre fine but sometimes you just need a stick, eh.
