Awesome, glad it worked for you too. So far my truck hasn't burned down either!

Well boys, I did this on my '13 SR5. Of course I didn't read the entire thread and powered the air pump relay that's in the location where the fogs were up to '11. Now the check engine and trac off lights are on... On the plus side, I read the entire thread and wired it correctly. I'll scan for codes and check fuses to see what went wrong. Hopefully just clearing the codes will do the trick... I'll post what I find.

No issue, after the third restart, the light went out. Didn't get to have the codes read prior to the lights going out. All is good...

I did the same thing, then put everything back, ran the truck, and then did it the right way, all lights cleared, works as it should from the factory now in my opinion. But now, just to route the jumper a bit nicer, And thank you guys for the tip! IMG_2375.jpg

I have just purchased a used 2011 Tacoma SR5 V6 4X4. I did the fog light mod, and yes I have read almost all 21 pages of this thread. The mod mostly works. I can now turn my fog lights on with parking and high beam, but I can also turn them on with no lights on at all. What did I do wrong?

    Edit:
So I just checked again and I can turn on my fogs or headlights without the key in the ignition. Is it supposed to be this way? I would like my fogs to only come on when I turn on the parking lights, then the headlights.

Any help appreciated. Attached pic. I think I did it correctly.

Okay--I did a short video on the 2012's relay/fuse box layout...

I mention several times that tab #1 on the FR FOG RELAY is at the top right...THAT IS INCORRECT!!!! Tab # 1 is on the bottom left side of relay once it is removed...this is the tab you bend to the side and insert your 22g-18g female blade connector w/18g wire crimped on, then simply re-insert the relay...take the other end of the 18g wire and insert into socket # 3 of the TOW TAIL RELAY, then re-insert the relay...

Side note--You can see the green wire at the top of the video frame in the wiring harness, this is the green wire that user "2012" has spliced to make his mod...this can be done but is not the way I have done this mod nor is the explanation I have given in the OP...there is a fog light on anytime mod that uses the spilcing of the green (hot) wire with the female blade connector to Tab # 1 on the FR FOG RELAY allowing use of fog lights without or with parking/headlights/high beam...this is an entirely different mod than the one I have posted here--

Monkeeboi...have you done the mod yet?? Do the relay/fuse box covers close securely over the 18g wire going from Fog relay to Tow Tail Relay??

I also have attached photo of 22g-18g female blade connector with 18g wire crimped onto that and that leads to stripped end...this is all you need to do this mod--hope this helps and if anyone wants the connector/wire in photo PM me your address and I will drop it in the mail to you--Added photo of tab # 1 on FR FOG RELAY bent to accomodate female blade...OLY

Hey I know this is an old post but I just did this on my 2014 exactly how you instructed for the 2012 and up. And my fog can turn on when the key is out of the ignition. Any idea how this is possible. I bent the correct tab on the fog relay then put the wire in the very bottom slot of the trailer relay. Not sure what’s wrong
