Yep, comfortable using the front brakes and turning, curbs, dodging people. She kept up with me on the beach sidewalk in SD, sandy sidewalks didn't phase her. We just haven't had time to get out onto any trails. I definitely want to start easy though so she has a good experience and wants to do more later.

    Thanks for the suggestions!

I took my lady to Papago to get her feet under her and did Pemberton Loop for our first long trail. Quite a few stops for both of us (Im equally out of shape) but it was easy with not a ton of incline on the front half and super fun and flowy coming back down to the truck. We ran it clockwise.

Pemberton is a good one, but is a longer ride for sure. Any short times come from some really strong riders. I agree with clockwise, never done counter but doesn't seem to take the best advantage of the terrain.

Not gonna argue. But southern Illinois is quite different from Chicago.

How about Sedona along the Bell Rock Trail? I've taken some very inexperienced riders on that and it was a blast. Just avoid the weekend when there is lots of tourists. Cooler, scenic and smooth ride

Sounds great! We wanna get out of the valley to ride until it cools off a bit. Definitely going to hit those trails in a couple months.

We did 8 miles in Cali before dinner with no problems. 0 elevation change and on sidewalk so totally different but would be very doable if we took our time. Looks like a fun loop.

Ill look into that one! Thanks

I picked up a crank brothers F-15. It's small, light and has all the tools i should need out in the trail!

Went biking today, trail 305 by Prescott! Thank you @RPS1030 for the suggestion, it was easy but super fun. It showed me exactly how out of shape I am!

Teal loved it and climbs better than I do!

It was great until the end when the ground suddenly jumped up, knocked me down, sprained my ankle and stole my wallet.

At least that's how I remember it going.

BCT is so sweet. And I do still ride occasionally.

I am up for a few good rides. I am probably the oldest in the group but do a lot of riding and will be back in the area in Jan. I ride a PNW made bike Transition Scout.
