Any pictures of the windowed ones welded into someones frame? Also, are these only for short bed trucks or is there a long bed version as well (or are they just the same plates and they have blank sections in them)?

    A thing or two...
I'm interested in a set of these plates, but it might be a month or two before I have the funds to order. I have a bolt on camburg SUA setup on the way. I was curious about doing cutouts to access the bolt locations. In the picture, it looks like that was done with that Archive Garage kit. Is it better to do single cutouts for each fastener as in the picture, or would a single long cutout be okay? Also, I read here or on the LT forum that the rear rails get out of whack easily when the spare tire crossmember is taken out. Is the best solution to weld a bar or two across the top of the frame rails to hold everything in place before removing the crossmember? Thanks.

You could leave on the rear bumper. it is acting as a cross member of sorts and keeps everything square while you cut out And replace your rear spare tire crossmember.

    Thanks. That makes perfect sense.

Would you recommend the windowed or non-windowed version for someone on the east coast where they salt the hell out of everything in the winter?

Get the windowed plates, and there's a company called Eastwood that sells a sort of sprayer attachment to be able to spray the inside of your frame and paint it. that will ensure everything is sealed nicely and prevent a rust out.

Thanks again for the info. Is this what you're talking about for the internal frame painting? http://www.eastwood.com/eastwood-internal-frame-coating-14oz-aerosol.html

I'd much rather get them after they've cooled off, so I don't burn myself.
