I don't think any of the interior of the Tacoma is "soft". It's just cheap, poor quality. I want soft, buttery leather like my other car. I feel like I'm sitting on a 5 gallon bucket with an old door mat as the cover. I hate the feel of the steering wheel. The cheap trim....I just use this stuff called Honda Brite which is actually for polishing Honda motorcycles. Although I don't use it on the dash. Not really sure what to use on it. So much debate over cracking with armor all and the other brands. And I 100% believe armor all causes cracks. But that's a while other topic. Sorry I got off subject a little.

The only thing worse than scuffs is the stains it gets from stuff. Sunscreen is brutal and unrecoverable. My GF slathered herself while at the beach, hopped into the passenger side and slimed up the passenger door.

She doesn't understand how close she came to being single again.

What kind of sunscreen and pics of said stain? I've gotten sunscreen on, and didn't notice any stains yet or anything that didn't wipe off. My GF has also done the same. But I've also wiped the plastics down with 303. Not sure that makes a difference.

Touch the door panel next to the window. Soft touch. I agree that it could be better. That Escalade i was in was sweet inside! Do i want to spend more money for a better interior? Nope and you won't get a better one for a 35K truck. I cross shopped the GM twins before I bought the Tacoma. They had a much cheaper interior in my opinion.
I also took several extended test drives so I knew exactly what the seat felt like and the steering wheel and the whole ergonomics of the cabin. I am 6'4" and 250 lb. I have to pay attention to stuff like that or else I would end up complaining about it on a truck forum lol.
Seriously, for the price point it is about normal for what's out there. Sure it scuffs. Most stuff i smack my boots into scuffs too.

I dont have any pics of the stain. It was probably some zebra-cum based ultra high SPF 80 or something.

I only ever used 303 on the exterior trim. I guess I could put some on the inside.

Yeah, the main hard plastics only come one color and it definitely helps with the sun burning and the UV penetrating in the heat. The 303 helps quite a bit with the UV inhibitors. I've used Chemical guys brand "natural shine" on the hard plastics a few times and does a good job masking interior and exterior scuffs on the black plastics. It's an exterior trail stripe miracle worker for the plastics! Dries totally dry and attracts zero dust/ dirt! 303 still gets stuff stuck to the exterior.

I hear ya man, 6'6" and 200 here. We don't have lot of choices in a midsize truck.

I wonder how well Mr. Clean's Magic Eraser would work? I just used it on my bumper and it cleaned it up dramatically, got all the scuffs and UV damage off.

I mentioned the Magic Eraser one time on here and just about got ran off. I guess the material they are made of can scratch point very easily. I've used one before and didn't notice any tiny scratches but it was on a white car and they don't show scratches that easily. Just thought I'd throw it out there. I use them for all kinds of stuff.

Well... and you also have to realize it's not called a magic eraser because it's magic. It works because of the cleaning products contained within the sponge. Not always a good idea to just start rubbing harsh cleaners an anything you want lol. You might wake up to a bleached out interior tomorrow after trying that haha.

Hi guys, I got door dinged today on my rear fender flare. I got so mad my face became hot enough to steam the moisture in the air. Is it possible to repair this damage or would be easier to purchase another fender flare. Also, how well color matched are painted accessories from truck to truck.

That is not repairable without repainting the flare and possibly bondo sculpting if the plastic is dented (not sure if thats paint wrinkle or a dent)

Its not easier to buy a new flare.
Just the flare without new hardware and the gasket is about $500 UNPAINTED.

Don't ask me how I know.

The plastic did get dented a bit. I was think of purchasing a pre-owned painted fender flare off of TW. Is that something you would recommend?

No but Im a perfectionist when it comes to my truck. I wont spend money to replace my dented flare with a used one that could be scratched or marred. Plus you have no idea if someone damaged the flair when they took it off (youll need brand new clips, those do break when you pop the flair). I trust no one.

One of these days when I have money flowing out my behind I will have mine professionally fixed.

You sound just like me. Never thought it would be much work to replace a 3rd gen flare. For now I'll use a touch up pen to cover up the ugly so I won't immediately notice it and get pissed off.

I didnt think it would be either. Who would have thought a peice of plastic would cost so much?

If I had the Off-road unpainted pieces then I wouldn't care to be honest.
