Hello everybody... im new to this board but not new to toyota's. Ive got 2 pickups but neither are taco's.... but one of them does have the 3.4 swaped in from 4runner, thats gotta count for something. 91 on 33 km2's 4.88's detroit ez locker with 3.4. (Dd) And i got a 92 on 37 boggers also 4.88's and true track locker 22re. (Mud truck)
I actualy found this forum from rock auto featuring it in one of the news letters and i was bored one night so i started browsing. Well im a few hundred pages in and figured id like to sign up and get in on some new wheeling action with some new guys and see some new spots outside of my usual stuff. I live in the pine barrens in nj so i mostly do mud and water.... there arent ANY rocks near me so it will be nice to try out some new terrain. I hope ill be accepted in the group even though i dont have a taco, i have taco's older brother. Talk to you guys (and girls) soon
    Jay

Thanks guys... ive been a toyoya guy for a long time. Got my 1st yota in 95, it was an 88 v6 (1st year for 3.slow) beat it hard, blew motor up, rebuilt it, beat it some more.had it untill 2010. I found a nice 91 ext cab 5 speed but still the dreded 3.0. Drove it for few years, then u know what happened..... head gasket. It did have 279,000 on it when i baught it so i cant complain. Rebuilt some heads, put them on and drove it about 2-3 years then boom.... head gasket! I already didnt like 3.0, so i found a crashed 4runner with 3.4 for cheap. Did the swap, and loving it ever since. 4runner had 140,000 and ive put 60,000 on it in the 5-6 years ive had it in. As a matter of fact i just pulled the 4.88's out and put the 4.10's back in for better mileage.(and lower rpms when im going 70 mph) Still plenty of power, actualy kind of quick for a truck on 33 12.50 km2's. And my wife drive an 04 4runner sr5 4.0. Only has 67,000 original miles on it too!
    Sorry for the long post
