I have a 2nd gen 2.7l AC with P265/75r16. I have noticed a slight loss in power. On the highway, I average around 21 mpg and around town usually 18, so not too much of a hit.

Thanks! That's good to know, so I should expect a little less loss since I went with 265/70/16:thumbsup:

Just got 5 new 265 75 16 load range E installed today at Discount Tire for about $920, with certificates. The TPMS is on now. The installer "re flashed" it twice with what looked like a code reader and it's still on. He said it should go off in a day or two. Does this seem right? It's my first vehicle that is sophisticated enough to have a TPMS. Going to consult the manual now.

what happens if you use the rest button below the steering wheel? also kinda stupid but have you checked the pressure? somehow could be low?

Pressure seems good. According to the manual- "Pushing the tire pressure warning reset switch does not turn off the tire pressure warning light."

Apologies for potentially highjacking the thread. I mainly intended to report my purchase and price. I'll keep digging on the TPMS issue and report elsewhere if necessary.

Can you see the TPMS? Maybe he accidently switched them with something elses. The light will come one if they TPMS are out of range of the truck.

Just had these installed by America's Tire.
I've only had about 100 miles on them so far, but I'm a fan thus far.
I went with 285/75r16 on SCS F5's. I was expecting minimal road noise, but honestly can't tell the difference with my stock sport tires.

Yes, on the stock mud flap where it covers the cab mount, but it's very slight. I think that you could avoid it with some thinner flaps. I'm at stock ride height, too.

Guess I can do an update: just hit 5k and did my first rotation, tires look barely worn, if at all. Been very impressed with the traction these provide, though I don't do trails and such. They've performed great in wet fields and slick, shallow mud. On the road they've become maybe just a touch louder, roughly the same as the BFG ATs on my Ford. Do have a slight shimmy around 63-64mph that seems to come and go but is very small. Ride quality is still excellent and they've been better than expected in the rain we've been getting.

Thinking of trying a set in 275/55r20s on the wife's Grand Cherokee when it needs tires. Definitely recommend these, best tire for the dollar I think.

So far so good. They look very aggressive in person and have been very quite on the road. With the little dirt they've been in they've had extra grip. Only issue was 2 of the 4 took 13oz of weight to balance when the other 2 only took 4. DTD is great to work with and ordered me 2 more which should be here this week.

So bottom line - Are these tires wearing evenly? And is the tread really wearing down fast as i saw some people say when they got them P rated? I have been looking at these in 265/75/16 116T. If i am correct they are not P rated if its 116T so i should be alright? I just dont wanna drop $520 on new tires to have them look like a worn down highway tire after 20 thousand miles yanno. I tried to skim this thread the best i could but theres 106 pages soooo.
