Ant will help you :p You know you want to after seeing Eric and Marks.

    Finished and tested my OBW.

Not sure why there was a delay in the compressor kicking on there.

Was plug and play really with this stuff:

Looks like I can get a solid minute of flow before re-pressurizing.

Looks to be around 15psi according to the gauge. The thing bloats like crazy which makes me a little nervous about deforming permanently, but holds up well so far. I just need it to at least last for Moab and then see if I need to pursue other options.

Did you drill the whole in the bottom of that for the hose hookup, or did it come that way?

it came that way and fit the standard 3/4 thread perfectly. The only alteration I did in the bottom is put in that gasket you see in the pictures.

Sorry for the late reply. Thanks for the tag @alee891. To me gears don't slow it down enough for serious trails like the rubicon. Lower gears in a tcase will limit the body damage and save the clutch. Of course the ideal thing to do would be to regear and a crawler but thats pricey. The amount of money to drop on a lefty is enormous and I would recommend just doing the gears or sasing it with a right hand drop case and atleast 4.7 gears in the tcase. Crawl box would be nice with a manual and 4.7 tcase and 2.28 crawler gears. If I where to do mine over again, I would have just gone to an atlas. To many headaches with Toyotas crappy seals.

You mentioned 35s as well which changes things as well and would think a regear is necessary to keep it from being a complete dog. im on 37s and 4.88s and its slow lol but its a lot of weight for not a lot of motor. If no front locker, regear and locker. Or just SAS it but I may be biased :luvya: or buy a jeep ;)

god damn, I want 4.88s for my 33s. Can't imagine 37s with 4.88s. I love 35s with 5.29s. I don't think i'll be adding a crawl box. They are pretty damn low geared..

Is what it is. If the trails more than hour and half 2 hours away I trailer it. Tires are to expensive and the things loud as anything on the highway.

Drive a truck with a crawl box ;)Im sure it will atleast make you think about one at some point.

It depends on the trails people run as well. Trails I run and the rubicon like mentioned above will benefit from it just because your able to go slower and not bash through stuff. Less broken parts and body damage and less roll back. All that can be made up with driver skill as well though.

Thanks for the input you guys been so very helpful.
Thanks for the help. It's the big dilemma on how much money to drop basically. I've done part of the rubicon with my 33s and 4.10s and it was brutal. I'd love to solid axle mine and buy an atlas in the future. I've had a guy close to me steer me from the dual cases do to many problems with them but I'm considering the regear might be my best option until I can go solid axle in the future do to the cost . I'll figure it out with time.

Used your idea yesterday, and ran to bi-mart and picked up one of these for $14 - https://www.amazon.com/Reliance-Pro...1&sr=1-1&keywords=water+jerry+can+with+spigot

Works like a charm and with only 8lbs of air I can empty about 3/4 of the 7 gallons in about 3-4 minutes. So it has some great pressure.

You are able to hook up a hose to that?
Ha I hear you. Since I just had the third out a couple months ago, I have no interest in pulling it again. :p Maybe next time the gear oil is due to be swapped.

Got the ghetto snorkel painted and bolted in. Now I know it's not a real snorkel, but if water's going that high I have bigger issues. As long as this helps cut down on some dust out west and keeps me from finding mud in the airbox like I have been I'll be happy. Siliconed all the joints and put a screen on the end too. It also utilizes the same bolts it originally did except the bolts go down from the top instead of coming up from the bottom.
