are you running all pro leaf packs though or dakars?

I need to double check with the place I'm getting the rest of the stuff from if the ome ubolt kit is a flip or just extended length ones.

Is it bad to spray stuff on the shock piston rods? Doesn't it contaminate the oil?

Yeah that's a good idea. I didn't spray the shafts and don't get any on the brakes or rotors.

Remove the sway bar because you will lose flex and it lets you do the taco lean in the corners (personal choice). You will want to crank the front to 3" (23" center hub to bottom of fender flare) bc the rear is already 1" higher and dakar leafs raise it 2.75" unloaded. UCA make sure they have covers on the uniball. Its a b*$#H to clean and re grease every month. Save your self trouble and cursing during installation by buying a 5/8" hole punch from harbor freight for $5 to turn the collar. Don't purchase the spanner wrench bc its absolutely useless with remote resi. Also I would get the Fox 2.0 extended travel 3-5" shocks in the rear. You lose only .5" in compression to gain another ~1.5" of droop which is key for traction. Even then your dakar leaf springs will still be able to droop another 1.5" making your shocks still the limiting factor again.

I think I'll be placing my order today then. Have you had experience with the rear 2.0s with resi's? Is the corrosion resistance good?

The 2.0 are holding up better than my front 2.5" coilovers. The threads on the coilover are starting to rust over and thats constantly cleaning them with WD40.

Its going to happen to all coilovers. You can only coat the threads so much to allow the collar to rotate and not rub the coating off. Plus 50% of my "off road" is the beach and I've but it through salt water quite a few times. Its just sacrificial rust and apply a coat of grease would prevent a lot of rusting. Plain and simple they all require regular maintenance and if you aren't cleaning and greasing once a month then they will rust.

With my Jetta being lowered I find best is to set it and leave it. Then cover it in any rust proofing spray twice a year.

You're better off not trying to clean them I find. Just oil them constantly

Did your sway bar relocate brackets come with the 4 smaller spacers you see below? For some reason they were with the relocation kit and I have no idea what they are for.
