Ok.. a few impulse buys are complete as of today:

Think I'll run out tomorrow and look for a high lift jack at Tracor Supply unless anyone has a better place to look.

The tractor supplies I checked didn't have any actual hilifts in stock. I got one of their brands and saved 30 bucks though since it was on sale. I'm sure it will fail the first time I ever use it and result in serious injury or death.

It might be a shit show, but I'm still going. I think it'll be good. Might take a little extra time to get home, but worth it.

Climbing jacks are already dangerous by nature. Have only ever used a tractor supply lift one in a parking lot and it was sketchy AF lol, went with HiLift brand on Amazon.

You talking about pit to plate? If so, yes, they're excellent. When taste of colerain was still a thing they won at least one category every year. I order takeout from them a couple times a month, but the restaurant itself has a cool vibe and live music sometimes

There's no guarantee of weather. I'm going for both opportunities.

@JHEAL77 do you have hilift points on your truck? Without any bumpers or sliders you risk damaging the truck using it.

Although, using it as a jack in the first place is kind of a last resort. If you get one, read up on all the ways you can use it for self-recovery. They're a pretty versatile tool.

...they're also pretty good for aligning bumpers correctly during installation. Ask Matt or I how we know lol
