Hey guys im looking to do some more audio equipment work! I am thinking about these 1" rockford fosgate punch tweeters with these crossover boxes. I am just about aold on these, i just dont understand what the crossover boxes even do or where to put them. Do i tie them off into the door? What does the crossover box even do? And how do i hook it up because i am NOT running anymore wiring unless its super simple.

Heres the stats and such of these little beasts

The crossovers send the highs to the tweeters and the mids/lows to the woofers they need to be installed ahead of the speakers. Some people install them in their door as it is easier, but ideally you install in the cab, which does mean more wiring...

I installed mine in the Black Triangles that cover where the mirror screws are.

I ended up just going with 40$ kicker 3/4 tweeters. They are 100 watts RMS or somethin, not too shabby. And im fully capable of creating my own bracket it seems quite easy. Thanks for the pics and information all!

I did this exact same thing when I installed my rf tweeters a few years back.
that was a mistake, RF is so much better in quality then kicker.

Installed my kicker tweeters tonight and man it is such a HUGE difference over the shitty stock ones. I feel like im wearing 7.1 surround sound headphones while driving. 9/10 best 30 bucks ive spent on Amazon yet!

Did you put a crossover or amp? I'm looking to do the same. What model Rockford fosgate tweeters, I seen the prime it's called was thinking of going with them.
