Random question: Anyone have experience hunting elk in units 3, 4, 5, 214, 301, 441?
Scouting this weekend, any knowledge of the area would be great. Feel free to pm me.

What season? That's a huge area and my responses will change dependent on season.

First place I would investigate is Bald mountain and Godiva rim north of Maybell, if you want to head that far.

Stop by and have a beer when you're up here and I'll point out some other areas. :spy:

4th rifle season. Hoping for late snow. We'll be hiking around Sugarloaf to start. Seeking areas away from roads and hiking required in order to avoid traffic, though it seems these units are a cluster fuck 1st/2nd season.

    My buddy is 1st rifle.

Picked this up during the rebate a couple months ago. Makes the wait until opening day that much worse. 7mm RMG and yes she is heavy but worth it.

It'll be busy, but most of the flatlanders just drive up and down the roads on their ATVs until lunchtime and then they go sit and drink beer at camp the rest of the day.

If you hike a mile away from the roads, you'll be fine. Not sure what you'll see that way during 1st season. I've hunted there after the snow starts flying and it's a good spot, but may be too hot 1st season.

A friend is rebuilding 001 right now. Very cool progress on the truck and very trick suspension PPI did in the early 80's.

Sucess...cuz I am just gonna order it all online where its $100 cheaper.

also, althought I know it is blasphemy here, got a Yeti cooler. Yeti 75 scored for $275 bucks. Wasn't first or second choice but hell I'll take it.

Non- truck, Electrical Question. Scientist just told me that for our Euro lab we just need to change the fuse and cord on our Shaker (that also has heating element in it), given I don't know if it has a transformer this seems highly wrong to me. Circuits designed for 110v would not like 220v plus the hertz (think that is frequency of AC swapping) is also different.

Anyone in the know if this is really an issue or just one to finance people like me... so I should just restrict myself to bean counting :D

Bought a new Coleman cooler and the fucking drain plug seal leaks. Thinking about taking it up the arse and just buying one of this EAF coolers.

@Squeaky Penguin do you have this problem?
