Anyone care to share their experiences airing down cooper st maxx? I have 255/85 on 16x8 wheels and want to know what's a safe low pressure to run off road without worrying about losing a bead.

Depends on what you are doing and how hard you intend to corner trying to lose a bead. Ive had my 265/75-16Cs down to 10 lbs in the sand dunes and 12 lbs on slow speed mountain trails. Ive had my Jeeps 35x12.5x15C KM2s down to 10 on dirt trails. Haven't lost a bead yet. Any load range E tire will be much stiffer.

I've air down my stMaxx 255/80/17 down to 10 psi as well. No problem. Just keep it slow n steady, you'll be fine.
