You guys ever made pizza bagels? Plain bagels lightly toasted first, then add sauce, pepperoni and mozzarella cheese, and toast some more in the toaster oven. Yummy as fuck.

Hell yeah ... back in the high school daze I worked for Pizza Hut. Made all sorts of concoctions on the garlic bread and then throw it in the rotating oven's 'half' door. Awesomeness was ready in 4-6 minutes ! Would use a mustard base with onions and ground beef, topped with a mozzarella/cheddar chees mix, for a true cheeseburger taste.

Also did a taco one with the refried bean paste base, again with beef and onions ... then when out top with the cheese mix, lettuce, tomatoes etc.

The classic pepperoni & mozzarella with a good amount of tomato sauce was my favorite though.

It was ! ... remember those Priazzo pies ? Did a ton of those ... they had a thin layer of dough on top with even more sauce and toppings. They were so thick we had to use these special metal tongs or 'forks' that you would insert to help get the heat evenly dispersed while baking. If you like Chicago style, these were the bomb !

I've forgotten all the different types I made of those, but I remember the 'Florentine' was unique and tasty.

Yeah, not sure if they still make those or not ? Some independent PH's might still make them. I know some towns in the Midwest you can still get a 'taco' pizza while out here in California you can't ?

Yes yes yes. Done many many of those. I think tortilla as a pizza vehicle is underrated. So easy and quick to just go nutz on and try all kinds of crazy combos.

I've not made my own pizza bagels (have had the mini) but now that you mention it I see now reason not to try it out lol.

Don't know if you all have tried the deep dish pizzas from Schwanns but they are actually pretty darn good. Had some of the mini ones the other day. Daughter LOVES them.
