Probably 40 miles now and only code is P219A.

I also realigned and tightened my air intake

I think another reason for the longer start, along with the UCON sync'ing, is because the fuel pump does not engage until the UCON tells it to. I'm working on a way to hard wire the fuel pump to the ignition so I can pressure up the system before I crank the engine.

I didn't notice the change. I think all toyotas start slow.

Ive read it posted in threads before here and there about the UCON taking longer to start. My truck did it a few times and I asked Scott about it just in case and he said it's normal behavior and gets better over time.

I've actually considered a couple times installing a kill switch in the dash from the fuel pump. So if someone does get in the truck and try to start, it'll turn over and die

So easy. You can even make it a multi-input to bypass it. Passenger seat belt buckled, parking brake applied, foot brake applied and radio on. left right left right up down up down b a select start.

Way to complicated. Just thinking a little button switch under the dash, maybe in the parking brake cubby. Or somewhere more hidden. Just something I can easily press non chalantly but not something just anyone will think to look for

My switch pros has a couple empty spots that I could use for that and with no label no one would realize the need to push it.

When the truck is warm and the fuel system still has pressure, it fires real quick. The longest is cold start with zero fuel pressure. About 2-3x as long as before UCON.

I wonder what the result will be with a Viper remote starter. It already delays 2-3 seconds with that...guess we'll find out

Mine never take that long. If it takes longer to start after a cold soak that could actually be a fueling issue. Pump not holding pressure over time... Injector slightly open...

I have a Prestige remote start and it works like a charm.

    Thanks. Hopefully everything goes smoothly!

Scott said he may be out of town this weekend so he went ahead and loaded the stage 3 tune ahead of time. The truck runs WAY better on S3 than it did on S1. Even though the cats are still there, 7th isn't wired up and still on 2.85 pulley.
