17"x 7" Sema TRD Pro wheels. I think I had 265 70s when the pictures were taken. Since then I moved up to 275 70s.

With aftermarket coils there is no need to use the 5100s adjustments, that is ONLY when using stock coil.

I picked up a TRD Off Road this weekend and now I'm looking at small lifts, nothing crazy. I have been eyeing some 5100s and I had a question. Are they only required for the front or is a rear set required as well? I heard adding them to the rear didn't change anything so would the stock Bilsteins paired with front 5100s be fine?

    Thanks!

You don't need the 5100s in the rear. You can set the 5100s on the front to lift an inch or so to level your truck. However, the 5100s may ride slightly different than the Oem shocks but it should be fine.

Agreed, if you want to keep it inexpensive, just do the front 5100s with stock coils and choose your height level. The TRD OR shocks are from Bilstein, so both will be digressive valving. Basically, bumps will feel the same. However, the rebound/compression etc might be tuned differently, so one might feel "softer" or less "bouncy" than the other.

They are not too expensive. If you know how to wrench you can install yourself. Or, you can find (or set up) a "mod day" in your area and get some help from experienced folks.

What are those running boards? My truck came with the predator steps which I am removing and I like the look and profile of those. I downloaded the photo but can't zoom enough to make out the brand.

    Thanks! JD

Those are Go Rhino running boards. Got them from Auto Anything. I just recently put sliders on so I have these sitting in the garage. I'm planning to clean them up and sell them for pretty cheap. If you're in the SoCal area I'd be happy to set you up for a good price. They're pretty heavy so not willing to ship.

I am installing the toytec 2.0 boss coil over with the Dakar leaf pack on my 2016 trdor. My question is: will I need shims for the rear axle?? I can't seem to find this info anywhere:/ help

I think you will need shims. I put on the Toytec 2.5s with the full Toytec leaf pack and I had some wicked driveline vibes. I put in the 3* shims with center pin that Toytec sells and I'm back to smooth sailing. The Toytec pack gave me about 2" of rear lift. If you end up with near or more than 2" of rear lift I think you'll need the shims.

You could install the leaf pack first and then measure your angles and see what degree shims will work best. It's pretty easy to use a clinometer app on your phone to get the info necessary to see how much the pinion angle needs to be corrected. Here's a link to a video that will show you how to find the angles:

I'm semi new to truck lifting, got a 2016 OR with 3/1 nitro leveling kit with 285 KO2s and wanting a suspension upgrade. Also front tires are favoring to wear out more inside.

    I'm planning on doing this:
-Bilstein 6112 upfront and planning to set the clips on both side all the way up and a 1/4" shock spacer driverside to get aprox 2.5" lift
-5160s for the rear and leaving the 1" block in there
-icon delta joint uca's.. hows pro comp uca's? got em ordered but gonna return them to get the icons instead

are these ideal? any other suggestions? should i consider aal for the rear? thanks in advance
