Anyone Twist Grips?

I've got a YZ 250 2 smoker and a 426 thumper. Both are green sticker so I'm legal year round. Usually ride Gorman, Silverwood or Ballinger. Looking to do Kennedy Meadows soon.

You have chase trucks? What do you do for fuel?

 

My brother was running chase for My dad and I. The event is well organized. You bring everything tool wise to change flats, I had a pack on that isint in the pic
Left Barstow at 0610 and pulled in to the Orleans in Vegas around 1645
I had 2 gas bottles but there are gas stops at Baker and Sandy Valley NV with a quick lunch
I stretched my 3.2 tank 92 miles to baker had no issues after that
It is the day after thanksgiving so mornings are pretty damn cold

We ride Silverwood / Arrowhead / BB mostly.

 

Here is a 3 shot series as I passed the photographer in the District 38 King of the Desert race a few months ago. Less than 3 miles later the piston cracked in half, oops, DNF (2nd one in my entire racing career)! Went from dead last to 4th place in 15 miles and then it became a really heavy bicycle without pedals once she let go, ha!
