Bed Rack/Ladder Rack/Soft Toneua Ultimate Combo

Hey folks! New to the forum and the Tacoma world. About to purchase a 2017 TRD Sport 4x4 DCLB.

I know there are a ton of bed rack/ladder rack/toneau threads but I can't find what I'm looking for. I have been racking my brain and drawing designs for awhile now, but can't come up with a good solution. There is always some compromise or design flaw.

I want to build or buy a Bed Rack that can support an RTT that sits below the cab (efficiency) but can be extended when I want to accommodate paddlebords/Kayaks/lumber etc that need to sit over the cab. The other kicker is that I want to have a roll up toneau cover to keep my gear safe-ish and dry.

Another bonus would be if the Rack could be easily removable (10-15 minutes).

It seems like the access toneau covers would be the easiest way to make it happen, but the extendable Rack is tough.

Is this a pipe dream?

@KB Voodoo offers a couple of different options, but not sure with that particular tonneau cover. I know that it will work with the OEM cover and the Extang Solid Fold 2.0.

Yeah, I like the @KB Voodoo stuff a lot. I just want it to extend or retract (above the cab to below the cab) easily as well as easily remove the setup when needed.

I also really like the @Dissent86 setuo that @Tacomamike mike has on is Tacoma.

Honestly, I just want it to do to much and I'm going to have to compromise. I just wanted to nudge these fellas to engineer the impossible!

The integrated use of a soft toneau cover would be amazing as well.

LOL, yeah I hear that. Very cool site with a lot of information, and also potentially a lot of money on mods; if that is something that you are interested of course.
