Made it out to Hawksbill and Skull Rock this weekend. Hiking was a little hot, but the water was perfect! Even took the vehicles for a little swim!

Keeping busy with Taco projects. Just installed the TRD Pro grille. If any AR members are looking for an SR5 grille, PM me. The install took less than 10 minutes.

hey guys! I will be traveling to Arkansas the first week of November. The plan is to stay at a friends vacation house in the area of lake ouachita. My wife, best friend, and I are all big in to fishing, but ive never fished down there before, looking for any pointers if anyone lives in or around that area! Also, if theres any suggestions on any other things to do. Unfortunately, my truck will still be in massachusetts, and he drives a 2WD Ram, so no offroad adventures lol

Haven't been on for a long time. But here's how my truck is sitting now, minus my spare is on top of the rack now.
Thanks to Shane for a great deal on his former bedrack!
Keep an eye out for me around NWA!

I love Lake Ouachita. There's plenty of places to fish there, but I've always done pretty good around the middle of the lake on the north side(we call it Rabbit) there's some trees sticking up out of the water and I've caught some good ones on swimbaits and spinnerbaits. I've caught some good Striped Bass on umbrella rigs too. The southeast side around Tompkins Bend can be good as well. Shangri La Resort has some good pie!! If your staying on the south side of the lake, Burl's Smokehouse has the best smoked meats and cheeses I've ever had. Awesome jerky and homemade bread too.

Downtown Hot Springs is a really cool "historic" town. There's all kinds of shops/restaurants/museums. Colonial Pancake & Waffle House has some good breakfast and Copper Penny Pub has good food/drinks. There's several old bath houses if you want to soak in natural hot spring water.

It's a shame you won't have your Tacoma! That whole area is in the Ouachita National Forrest with a lot of miles of trails in the mountains. And Hot Springs Off Road Park is a good time. His truck can make it to the top of Hickroy Nut Mountain though. It's a good view overlooking the lake. I love this state and I hope you have a great trip. If you want any more info send me a message.

If anyone is looking for a cheap SR5 grille for a third gen, PM me. I replaced it with a TRD Pro, so this one is currently collecting dust in my garage. The center emblem is covered with Nox-Lux overlay (it's not plastidipped, so it won't peel). If you need help with the swap, I can do it (will take less than 10 minutes). Excellent condition, no broken tabs.

    20170902_141920_zps6h5h113y_a7015a385e9b1643a7d98dfc105ef4b5c9e8431e.jpg

Additionally, if any third gen owners display vanity type plates up front, I recently installed a custom aluminum front license plate mount from MetrickMetal. It's a great low-profile alternative to the bulky factory mount.
