My 2015 Tacoma TRD makes a squishy/wet sponge sound everytime I step on the brake. Dealership confirmed its my booster brake. Toyota has not released a solution. Does anyone know of a solution. The sound drives me crazy.

Mine does the same thing. Toyota says its normal for the big master units some of ours have. I had it at 6 different dealers and they all say it's normal. Drives me nuts as well. I just always have some tunes on the radio to ignore it.

Trd off-road has a different brake booster to control atrac. The squish sound is a side effect of that, its normal operation.

Can confirm. Brake pedal sounds like a semi-silent dog fart.

yup all those with the electric boosted master cylinder / abs unit all in on (09+ TRD OR 4x4's and a VERY select few 05-08 trucks optioned with the VSC package) will have that sound. 100% normal.

Be glad you have this master cylinder.... its FAR better than the POS vacuum boosted setup.

I do have to say, if I had known ATRAK was only available on OR, I could've managed without a longbed
