This was my experience with RCI off-road. I previously ordered an aluminum front skid plate from them for my 2016 Tacoma. I was extremely pleased with the fit and quality of the piece. When it came time to shop for a rear plate bumper theirs fit the bill perfect for me based on what I saw. It maintained the stock trailer plug and license plate lighting and had a built in receiver, all things I wanted. I also thought it followed the body lines the nicest and tightest of What I was seeing available based on my needs so I ordered one. It shipped in a timely manner based on their estimate and I received it in satisfactory condition. Here's where things take turn. Bear with me im not here with the sole purpose of bashing a vendor i just think this should be out there for potential buyers of this product. I painted the bumper and let it sit for about a week. Yes i should have test fit it first but I didn't, had I done so I would have known how bad it actually fit. I used all the adjustment the slotted holes allowed and the flat part of the bumper was still touching the bed below the tailgate. Metal on metal and no adjustment left. So I called RCI and talked to the owner Josh on a Friday. I sent multiple pictures and got a reply back via email the following Monday. Look at the pictures and the emails and form your own decision. These pictures are all before I modified the bumper. I've used multiple vendors on this forum and been pleased with most. I won't be using this one again. They did not stand behind their product in my case. I'm a metal fabricator myself so i ended up cutting a half inch off the flat area of the bumper and re painting it to make it usable but it's still not what I ordered.

Did you take far away pics like the RCI site shows before you modified the bumper?
Is there still a big gap on the side?

Bummer about the bumper, I was considering this one. From the pics it looks like your maxed out pushing the bumper back away from the truck, causing a larger gap at the side?? I assume you were trying to push the bumper away from the bed where is was contacting the bumper?

seems to be a dissatisfaction trend going on with RCI lately.

So I'm looking into getting this bumper, was this a one off scenario or have there been many problems?
