I've been away from this forum, as usual. Truck is about to get it's first oil change...So how do I feel about it after 5,000 miles?

I love it! haha seriously, never let me down once. It only improves the harder and more miles I put on it. Ironically the shifting and everything has finally "settled in" I feel like. It see's more life off road than on road. I really have pushed it's limits since day one guys honestly.

With traction control OFF and in 2wd these trucks feel like rally cars on narrow logging roads. They actually handle extremely well doing it and have no problem nosing in the front on an apex of a corner. I was impressed. I haven't been able to not want to do it since...

This truck has kept me out of trouble. My other vehicle is a Whippled 700+rwhp GT500 and if I tried daily driving that I would lose my license in about 5 minutes

Even having a car like that, this little 4 cylinder 5 speed 4x4 truck doesn't disappoint me in power in any way. It has just the right amount needed for what it does.

The only problem I have had with my truck other than getting bad luck with a flat tire at 75 miles and I mean the only problem, is my tach needle will occasionally stick. Doesn't bother me considering I shift by feel and ear. If they don't have to tear out my whole dash for one little instrument cluster needle than I might have it fixed when the change the oil. Otherwise it doesn't bother me.

I plan on keeping this truck, still. I could get any daily driver I want and am not interested in getting rid of this truck any time soon. I will say the gt350 is tempting as a daily... But I NEED a truck.

Great to hear, and thanks for taking the time to post positive feedback. All to often, people will only post the bad stuff.

I just ordered a 4cyl, but opted for the auto, but my excuse is that I'm old..

R U kidding me..?? That freakin' road that U were on is like an Interstate in Canada.... That is nothing...!!

My driveway is rougher than the road U were on man.... !!

Go find some real wheelin'......................."off road"... means OFF ROAD... (ie no roads INVOLVED)...!!

Come on... show us a video of you truckin' thru the forest, making a new trail...!!
    Nice truck BTW..

    you'll love the 4 cyl!

:rofl:Hey now... I do take it offroad don't make me take scratch photos, just now going to start making videos. I just bought the go-pro and threw that rally video in here as part of my "5000 mile review" thread, not an "offroading" thread... Most people would consider taking a new truck at 40-60mph on a rough gravel road as not road driving... But anyways...The purpose was only to show how fun it is to take traction control off and whip around gravel roads in 2wd at those speeds.
