Ok, I just recently got a set of the Pro Comp coil overs from another member. Ive had the spacer on the front of my taco for a long time. The question I have is how do I know if theyre set at a good spot? Hopefully that's understandable. Does PC set them at the "middle?" Someone school me up on these.IMG_0947.jpg

    How do they ride?
What is your CV angle looking like
Does the front end sit higher or lower than you want?

I would be interested in the measurement between the ground and the bottom of the rocker so I can compare my 3 inch lift

The ride seems fun I took some measurements this morning. CV angle looks like the passenger side has more of an angle to it. Might just be me. Measurements are from the ground to the wheel well.

    RF
    43 5/8

Also measured the amount of threads showing on the coil overs

I know normally you don't use a top plate spacer with coilovers, but procomp includes a 1/4" spacer for the drivers side to correct lean. That should give a 1/2" more lift on the drivers side.Or make it level side to side.

RIMG0363.jpg I measure 19 1/2 inches between the drive and the bottom of the rocker just behind the front wheel on my Pre-Runner with a Pro Comp 3 inch lift, thinking about changing it out for a 6 inch tho

You should not need the spacer since you have adjustable coilovers. The driver side should have roughly 1/4" +/- more thread showing on top than passenger side which would net you 1/2" +/- more lift on driver side taking care of "taco lean". So you can adjust the spring retainer nut if you have the wrench to level it out.

I'll adjust them like that. I'm kinda not liking the front to rear difference in height. How much is it gonna affect the performance aspect of the coil overs, extension and retraction?

3" Toytec spacers, Bilstein 5100s in the back with add a leaf and overloads removed.
Does the procomp 4" come with a big spacer instead of bigger struts?

Depends on how it's sitting now. If the front is higher than the rear and your going for the level look then you will be "loosening" the coil spring nut which will lower the front and unload the coil with not so much preload. To me it's a better ride as the spring is meant to work within the rating it's designed for when you don't tighten the shit out of it just to get more lift. That usually gives you a harsher ride. The stroke will not change. It's a 1:2 ratio on the turns, you want it to go down 1" loosen the nut 1/2" and so on. Hopefully your front is higher than the rear and not the other way around as tightening it more will just put more preload on the spring and make for a harsher ride. Jack up the front to get the weight of the springs and start playing with it. Just remember you want the passenger side about a 1/4" less than the driver side for the "lean".

Great explanation, currently the front is sitting about 1" higher than the rear and the LF and RF are almost an inch different. I posted the measurements a few posts up. Both coilovers are adjusted about the same. I guess I'm gonna have to get down there and adjust it a little at a time to get it to sit more level. Thanks for the 1:2 ratio on the adjustment.

I'm assuming you are referring to the bolt that holds the sway bar to the bracket that attaches to the end link?

Yeah mine doesn't have that. Was wondering if it was a quick disconnect
