That's kind of how I view Unimogs, they can certainly tackle terrain that a Tacoma couldn't and would be awesome to have but the size, fuel economy...etc. I think the mid-sized pickup is the perfect compromise between a wrangler and a full size truck.

I ran some pretty tight trails in High School with this '76 Jimmy and while it made it through most of the time it was always a tight fit, sometimes with a wheel a little closer to the edge of a cliff than I would do now! Wish this truck was in better shape, it was a beast, full armor, roll cage, extended range fuel tank, winch, now just a plow truck :(

I'm heading to Southern Utah after work today. Luckly I'll be spending a bunch of time in water filled slot canyons the next couple of days.

I've only been there in October, March and January. This will be my 1st time there in the summer. I work in a kitchen so I'm pretty well acclimated to heat. Of course heat + Sun are a whole differant story.

Brian Head is up in the mountains, so high in the 60s, lows in the 40s.

Toquerville Falls may be a little rough, but that's why I'm seeking out the cool water.

Subway is even more amazing than you think it will be!

I did "Right Fork" slot by Zion a while back and descending ~400' into the narrows was sweet! It was pretty funny seeing the looks of the tourists wading in bermuda shorts as we descend like space aliens from above in climbing gear and wet suits.

We did The Subway last Saturday. The best pools in the tunnel section are now full of sand. We did Pine Creek last fall and it's always a lot of fun. There hasn't been much rain lately so the pools are getting a little stinky. Keep your eye out for the quicksand near the bottom of the Subway. We sunk up to our hips without even seeing it.

So where is the Utah BS thread?

My wife and I just relocated to the area from ole Texas. What a fantastic switch thus far; hard to beat living twenty minutes from the gates of Zion.

I'm still looking for partners in crime out this way. Typical gambit runs; Canyoneering, climbing, camping, canoeing, paddle board, mountain bike, street motorcycle, dirt bike and just about anything else that gets us outdoors. Lemme know if y'all wanna scare up some fun.
