We live life off-road and in the process of building out our own trucks, we scoured store after store worldwide to find the best possible deal on the highest quality off-road parts.

Info About 2" Style:

• 2.0” diameter body
• 2” or 4" stroke length
• Large 1-1/4” diameter shafts are hard-chromed, preventing rusting and essentially creating a self-cleaning system. Shafts are also polished to a mirror-like finish, ensuring extended seal life
• Schrader cap mounts directly to the body of the bump stop, not the valve, creating a stronger seal, keeping everything clean and dry by keeping out dirt and moisture
• O-ring on shaft gauges your travel
• Bump stop bodies are made from 4130 Chromoly providing the advantages of high tensile strength and malleability. Stronger and more durable than standard 1020 steel
• Secure indexing pin prohibits the outside of the tube from pinching
• Delrin contact pad is mounted with a single flush mount design, protecting your suspension and insuring quiet operation, with no metal on metal contact

• Pin-style cans hold the bump stop around the entire diameter, providing 360° coverage without any pinching like traditional pinch-style cans

Hey guys! My name is Maxx.
Just thought i should step in and try to clear up some of the skepticism!

A few months ago i picked up a set of these 2 inch pin style bump stops from Locked off Road. I too was a bit skeptical because at the time, i only wanted King Suspension on my rig. I had a set of King Bump Stops sitting in my online shopping cart but was reluctant to buy due to the high price tag. Thats when i found Locked Off Road on Instagram of all places. After looking through pics of their work and seeing some of the bad ass builds that were already using their gear i thought i would drop them a message and ask some questions about fitment, quality, size, ect. The Owner Riley got right back to me and walked me through all of my questions. Based on his awesome customer service and their 100% guarantee on quality, I decided to give it shot and ordered a pair of 2 inch bump stops.

There was little to no wait time on my order and i had the bumps within a week or so. They came with heavy duty sleeves ready to be welded and the bump stops and the hardware seemed to be that of the same quality as my all my King Products.

Instal took very litlle time at all. I have a fellow Firefighter buddy who does some basic welding on side projects and asked for his help in exchange for some beer and we struck a deal. we started by chopping off the stock bump stop. i chose to mount it in this location because it lined up with my Baja Kits Lower Control arm that has a reinforced plate designed to be used in conjunction with bump stops as does a stock lower control arm. After making room for the bumps we welded the sleeves directly to the frame. Afterwards we added small steel triangles for added support. This may not look the cleanest but it is functional, sturdy and works wonders.

Now for performance. Couldnt be happier. If i could give the Five Stars i would. My wife and i took the truck to the Moses Lake Sand Dunes in Washington state before and after installing the bump stops and my wife even mentioned how much softer the suspension felt. She was actually able to relax and enjoy the ride! We tested the truck on the exact same whoop section. Before installing the bump stops the truck would start off ok but after hitting a few large whoops the truck would begin to buck up and down eventually bottoming out to the point where i would have to stop. now with the bump stops , hitting the same section the front end floats right over, there is no harsh bottoming out and the ride is enjoyable. Now im just waiting to get some for the rear end.

In conclusion. I'm totally satisfied and will be buying a set for the rear. They have held up to thousands of miles of abuse and show no wear at all and continue to work flawlessly.

I seriously hope im able to put you guys at ease because If you go with King, Icon, or Fox your literally just paying more for the name and the sticker and probably wont get the customer service or guarantee along with it.

So school me on these piston-looking bumpstops. I imagine they are much more comfortable than something like wheelers superbumps? Would something like this be overkill for a daily/offroad once a month truck?

I think they look freaking awesome, but require extra work vs. the wheelers that are just a 'bolt-on' replacement. Worth it in your opinion?

 

Do you ever feel yourself hitting ypur stock hard rubber stops? If never then no these aren't for you. Wheelers works for 99% people wanting an upgrade.

 

Yeah I feel that all the time because I'm not exactly the.... *slowest* guy on the trail, especially in mud holes or shallow drops lol

Sub'd. Will be going hydros in the near future to smooth out those bottom outs with a heavy bumper and tire gate. Spring over axle doesn't leave me much bump travel so gotta have it be plush!

Question for you @TacomaGuy23, I saw another member testing a new mount for the 3rd gen Tacoma with a threaded, lock ring style bump from you guys. Is there an offering for that bump for 2nd gens? The website rear bump kit appears to be the pinch style.

Sounds good! I've been looking around for a setup like this. OP says you're out of Temecula, I'm out of Mira Loma, only a 40 min drive down the 15 S! Would definitely be willing to drive down to make it work.

 

I saw that you now offer a threaded option for adjustability. Is there a bracket on the back side of the can that can be welded to the frame?
