So I stretched it out a little bit. The right arrow is from 20 yards the other two are from 30.



Just need practice. So cool to shoot from 30 and have to wait a second before it hits. Lol

Ty still wavering a lot but I know the bow will do the job... Much more comfortable
Gaining all the time.
I think if it's nice and calm tomorrow night I'll bring out the table and set it at 30 and see what the crossbow will do.

 

The more you shoot, the better you get.
Muscles get toned up.
Once you get the accuracy part , try holding full draw on target 30 seconds, then a minute,and then some. That's the tough part.

 

Yea Jason says to start that.
The problem is if I do that no way I can hold to shoot. Lol

 

Takes time.
Muscles have to get used to it.
You shooting fingers or release?

Mike, next time you're at Cabelas, get a stick of this stuff if you don't have some already. Helps preserve and condition your strings on both bows.

Release. I tried fingers once and just about my ripped the finger prints off them...
And Im sure pulled muscles and dislocated tendons would have followed.. Lol

 

Yea I have a little pack I got with the crossbow.
But I need to remember to get some.......
I keep forgetting....

I didn't think the compound needed any. I know the cross bow does cause it's all over the strings.
Where should I be putting it on the compound?

 

Well it looks like those spiders I'm finding in /around my place are actually Brown Widows !!

They're not as venomous as they're cousin the Black widow but still can cause issues if bitten by them . Have a pest control tech coming Monday to spray my place

 

Hmmm, maybe that's why the previous folks moved out?

All your strings except the ones that make contact on the wheels. Grit can work it's way at those places.
I do mine before season, couple times during and when it is put away.
But then again, I'll go out for 50 sits a season.

 

I'm not to happy about this !! , and especially since I've got cats now worried more about them being bitten than myself

 

Mmmmmmmm. So the section the runs into and around the wheels during operation is left alone

 

That's what I was always told.Makes sense about the grit. That's where there's a lot of pressure
