    This is very true!!! :goingcrazy::eek:

    It's a 2011 version and the pic is pretty much the exact one that I have... just not my bike in the pic, LOL!!! Beautiful area looks like!!!
    2011_GT_Avalanche.jpg

    I just wanted something a bit simpler so I just went with a "hard tail" frame. I've ridden suspension frames and just can't do it. I know they come in handy for certain types of riding, but I'm a bit more of a regular trail type. Anyways, just an idea even though this is a 2011 model. I like it with the only exception that I switched out the pedals to more durable pedals because the stock ones just SUCKED... BAD!!! Other than that, it shifts REALLY smooth. The components that came with my bike were lower end "Shimano Alivio set", but they've worked good for me so far. Just to add for a possible alternative.

    I paid around $450 total, out the door back in 2012.

    Btw, @ItsRichieRich, in my experience, it is NOT necessarily the frame that makes the bike, but the components (i.e. derailleurs, wheels, tires, etc)! :thumbsup: I, myself, am at the point of more easy riding so the components I have are more than good for my type of riding, but yours maybe different. I'm just pointing this out as @Tombiology70 points out that it can get pretty expensive pretty quick. You just have to kind of figure out how hardcore you really want your bike without spending unnecessary cash... wasting your money. Quick example, I metal detect and one of the BIGGEST MISTAKES people make when they buy a metal detector is buying the most expensive and/or damn near expensive one they can find falsely thinking they're going to make lots of $$$$$$$$$ only to find nothing but pennies and pull-tabs/beaver tails 90% of the time and maybe even worse than that.

    So again, just as friendly advise, really think about how much riding you will really be doing and what kind. Just my 2cents on the matter. :notsure:

    Take my truck into the dealer for 10K service. Get alignment and oil change. I'm under my truck and BOOM those dirtbags didn't tighten the oil filter down correctly. Fresh oil leaking, I wipe it off drive it for a bit. And fresh oil again. JiffyLube mistakes SMH! :annoyed:
    Called the service manager and left a voicemail he just called back but I missed the call. Calling him back right now to tell them they are slippin!
