I've searched the site up and down but cannot find answers to these questions.

I have a 09 4WD Sport and the manual states to use 75w-85 for the rear diff, can I...

    1. Sub Mobil 1 75w-90 instead?
    2. Do I need to add a LS additive? (manual says nothing about that)
    3. Will 3 quarts fill it up or do I need to purchase 4? (Manual say 3.12 capacity)

I was about to pull the trigger of Purchasing Redline 75w-85 but thought I would double check.

    Thanks!

24mm socket...make sure you crack open the upper bolt (fill) before you drain from the lower bolt.

When I went to my local dealer, he said it takes 3.2qts, but that's new and dry. Said they just use 3qts and it's fine.
