Found this about 29 miles in riding my motorcycle on the Titlow Hill Road in Humboldt County last week. Anyone lose a Taco?

It looked like it had been there for a day or two and there's other traffic on that road; so no, I didn't call it in. No cell service out there and a land line was a long ways away. I figured notification had been made based on time.

Damn! That sucks. Wonder if anyone was seriously hurt from that? Assumed you stopped to see if anyone was in there- if it's been there for a couple days.

I stopped. No one there. Dumb wreck, over drove a corner on a road with a lot of nasty curves. Hence my presence on a MC. I have no idea how they got out of there. Maybe had another rig, I dunno.

Even easier. The red dot on the passenger window is a credit card. I don't remember the name. I left it where I found it.

Do you have the rough coordinates so someone can see if it was stolen?

    IMG_9455.jpg

Seems like it could possibly be driveable if they kicked out the windshield and the tie rods weren't bent. And if they shut off the engine immediately after.

I can't imagine that someone would roll it and not come back for it the next day. Seems fishy...

Credit card on the window probably means the driver left it for a tow truck driver - probably just still making arrangements so he can get to his parts after it's pulled out of there.

I know some of y'all are joking about pulling the bumper and all... but don't joke about that ish. That's how knuckle heads get the ideas in the first place. It sucks to have to hike out, find help, pay for towing and then find out someone has raped your vehicle.

MP 28.75 on the Titlow Hill Rd. No GPS. Almost exactly half way through the section of road between Hwy 299 and Hwy 36.

I feel like there has to be a better way to pay a tow driver than leaving your cc tucked in the window of a totaled truck in the woods. o_O

I thought the truck was in the woods, now, from the OP's post, it's alongside a road.

Yeah, I thought it was out in the woods. Google earth showed me that it is a paved road. Sorry for the confusion. Seems like the CC fell out during the roll. No one would leave it for a tow truck driver.
