Are the gloves a Texas thing? I've never seen anyone without them here. Y'all staying dry @Misplaced Nebraskan? 5" of rain here since 6:00am

    ...aaand, we're back.

10, glorious night shifts. I'm so glad to have those day shifts in my rear view mirror!

Funny how that works, isn't it?

I've been working 12's most of my career. When I took this position I worked M-F, 8-5 - everybody's dream shift, right?

Freakin' HATED it. I'm not terribly fond of nights, but at least it's a proper 12-hour shift.

Pretty quiet around this thread. I'm guessing everyone is as busy as me.

Not here. I had a couple of service requests earlier, but it's dead as hell now.

    Hell, I dunno...

So I'm thinking about getting a lift installed. Are any of you folks running Old Man Emu Kit w/ Dakar Leaf Packs? Did you install it yourself? How much did labor run if someone else did it?

I have OME with 880's in the front if mine. It gave me 1.5". Exactly what I wanted. The ride is slightly choppy, but nothing to get worked up about. It's a truck.

I just wanted to take the sag away from the weight of my bumper.

2" lifts are the perfect height for our trucks. Anything more, and you give up reliability.

I'm not sure what coils I'll need up front. I eventually want to get a bumper and winch. I have Mobtown sliders already, weight-wise I'll add skids beneath as well.

Fight was surprisingly good. Conner got gassed bad though. But he said it best. "Let him take me down"

1485555722147.jpg 20161104_131920.jpg I have about 2g's in my lift. I went with Toytec 521600 coils, they include the Bilstein 5100. I went ahead and got uca's, Fabtech mainly because it was the cheapest uniball type I could find at the time. I did put Dakars in the back, 7 leaf, and Bilstein 5100's gave me about 2.5". The coils up front gave me a full 3".

I keep telling my self that I love the ride, but seriously if I had any back pain or was living with any constant pain like neck pain it wouldn't work at all. It does ride choppy. It also corners flat and takes the bumps like a boss on the forest roads. I can put 700lbs. in the bed and get very little squat...just levels it out really. So so far I'm real happy with it.

My son and I did the work in the driveway. Not sure what we saved, but I'm thinking about 4 to 6 hundred.
