aftermarket skid plates cover the valve from hitting obstructions. I have the all pro skids and they cover them fine, even has a small cutout to handle oil changes so no need to remove.

i run a fumoto on all the cars, never had them snagged. not sure of the oil pan location of the camry and corolla but on my z its pretty exposed (offset to the side a bit) but i have not run into problems. I am running nipple version on the z and well it sits pretty low.

As Yogi Berra would have said, it's not a problem ... until it's a problem.

I have a 2015 DCSB and am wondering if there is any issue installing the Fumoto with nipple? Specifically regarding where my stock skid plates are. Once installed can I just open valve and have oil fall straight below to oil pan?

    Thank you.

I have a 2015 AC and instead of getting the one with the long nipple I got the one with the short nipple.
You can still put a hose on it with no ploblem and it's about 1/2" shorter so less exposed. And yes just stick a piece of tubing on it, put a container underneath and flip the valve lever and it will work fine.

Is it really that hard to unscrew a drain plug? Go buy an 18 pack and a can of WD40 instead.

I have the 3rd Gen. With @Mobtown Offroad skids. Works awesome. Put on the tube. Put in the oil pan and remove the lock. Open and out she comes.

What is the consensus regarding the fumoto valve and it not allowing the drain pan to completely empty, leaving dirty oil/contaminates in the pan? There was some debate about that a back.

Is the OEM drain plug magnetic? Does anyone ever see metal shavings trapped on it? If so, wouldn't you be allowing metal contaminates that would otherwise be trapped on the plug to continue flowing through the engine?

I'm a fan of how personal people take things. It truly amazes me that he will be completely unaffected by my purchase and use of a Fumoto, yet he actually let it bother him. People are very LOL.

No money, all went to truck...
I have the fumoto valve and absolutely love it. Changing oil is a breeze. It doesn't protrude below skid plate. It drains slower but not an issue. May leave some oil behind but if I'm changing oil religiously every 5000 miles will it really matter if I leave behind 1/10 of a quart?

I have the valve. I find myself doing oil changes in strange places due to the lack of a parking space so I find the valve more convenient. Plus it's relatively mess free.
