Looks to be a horizontal milling machine which is the way they were made before the Bridgeport style came about. Have any side views and is it for sale ?As a bench top style they are not found that often at least in that size . Be worth a rehab and put to use for small custom jobs .

Old was 3 core brass. Started leaking near my external trans cooler which at first I thought was leaking.

A guy I know is running the same aluminum I am getting in a nova with a 383 with no issues.
Got everything disconnected. All I have to do is lift old one out, clean up the mess, and install new. Hopefully i'll have time this weekend.

That's the only pic I have. My neighbor runs an auction and posted that pic on Facebook.

You could do surfacing work with it as well as slotting , slitting and regular machining some of the horizontal machines had both a horizontal and vertical bed and changeable heads to drill with etc . It's spindle speed would limit it's surface planning ability / material to be ground but doable.

Yeah unknown tooling and running condition max no close inspection $250 but I want a vertical bench mill I did consider a horizontal just wouldn't fit my lay out of the smaller shop which is where I do that kind of work it is a little more climate controlled.

I had to laugh. I didn't really realize how small New Mexico is. We went through there, counting the 30 miles we drove into it last night...2 hours. We left at 0800 and punched into Az at 1000.
