I text this guy and he responded right back! Super good deal for someone but it's a short bed model and I need one for a long bed.

 

Keep thinking about the damn BAMF bar thing... the more I think about everyone's input, and about taking my time to do it right so it looks awesome, the more I think I want to just try and sand the whole damn thing and re-paint it over.

Did some research on that, and found that aluminum oxide paper is the stuff to use to sand off rust from metal. Do you experts agree/concur with that? How hard is it to sand off something that's been powdercoated?? Would it even be worth trying to do the whole thing??

 

It'd probably be a whole lot easier with an angle grinder and a wire wheel. Or just take it to a local powdercoat place and have them sand blast it.

I want it to look as good as new though! I'm OCD about stuff like that.

There is a powder coat place here in town. I found them on Google. Going to swing by tomorrow and bring this thing with me to see how much it'd cost to just get done right and have it sand blasted. Then I'll probably just paint it myself. Unless to do it all by them is cheap, then might just do that.

We'll see.

 

If you're going to have them blast it, you might as well have them powder coat it too.

 

Depends on how much more that would be. I'll see tomorrow what they say as far as prices.
