I just changed my rear diff & transfer case fluid, this front however is a struggle. I can't break either of these plugs loose (started with top, tried bottom) I've sprayed them with some pb blaster and have been letting it sit for an hr now. Maybe I should wait a bit longer. Any recommendations? I'm trying to avoid stripping the plugs.

I've read into it & have the right tools. I have a 10mm allen with a bar on it for some leverage, also tried 10mm hex socket (3/8s) to 1/2 adapter to breaker bar.

*sorry, I probably should have posted in that thread rather than create a new one

This thread is awesome. I was able to do the rear diff, front diff and TC yesterday in only a couple hours. The best tips I got from this thread:

    1. Drop the spare for easy rear access
    2. No pump needed for rear diff and TC
    3. Loosen fill just a bit but wait until flow slows down to remove
    4. Remove drivers side front tire for easy front diff access
    5. Spray penetrating oil at least a 1-2 days before
    6. Compete washer set on Amazon for $7.50
    7. It only takes 5.5 quarts to complete all three changes
    8. Using a T55 socket makes quick work of front diff
    9. Have a lot of rags handy, it's a messy job
    10. Take your time and enjoy all the $$$ you're saving

    Thanks again everyone!
