Hey guys, recently have been looking into having some sort of surfboard storage inside my cab high camper shell while maintaining enough room to be comfortable sleeping in the back. Was thinking maybe pvc pipe or rope along ceiling of the shell or possible along the side, any ideas? thanks!

How big is your surfboard? I would think you'd have a hard time getting one in a 6 foot (or less) bed. A locking, roof-rack-mounted container might be a better bet. Not exactly sure if they make these, but surely someone does, right?

I had a set of Inno locking racks on my Mini Cooper S that I really liked. They're definitely not theft proof, but it makes it a lot harder than just taking the board off the roof. You'd have to cut through the cable that winds up in the locking mechanism, which could probably be done with a nice set of wire cutters and a strong grip. Never had anyone try anything with mine tho, and I would leave boards on top of my car while I went to work at an emergency room in Orange county for 12 hours, sometimes at night.
