I have only had experience with two. The one with the little squiggly on the face and the spline type. The spline type was my buddies, and we had to change his tire and he couldn't find it. We found a socket that was snug enough on them to work. So I would opt for the kind with the little squiggly on the face, although im sure you can beat those too.

Gorilla lugs. May as well make 'em work for it. "Pros" don't swipe your wheels, they more often swipe the whole vehicle because they're smart enough to not get caught taking off your wheels in your driveway, and they help themselves to more than just the wheels. When they're done they trailer it to some remote part of town, pull it off, and set it on fire. I know because I'm there to put it out afterwards (I've seen it a hundred times if I've seen it once). Pimply faced punks try to get your wheels, and the harder you make it for them, the better off you are.

Tx Fireman had a good point anything to slow a thief down or cause them to attract attention will help. I sport a dented tailgate hoping nobody wants it. Being careful where you leave your truck goes a long way avoiding theft.

If removing 24 lug nuts and 4 wheels and tires doesn't deter the thief, wheel locks sure as hell wont.

I definitely agree with TxFireman, Gorilla lock lugs would probably be one of the best, if not the best.

    http://www.gorilla-auto.com/gorilla-locks

I have these on my wheels. Yea, yea, I know, I know, not worth it cause if they really want it they're gonna take, etc., etc., etc. still though to me it's worth it to have them.

These have replaced "all" the lug nuts on my wheels.

Just makes it a bit more tedious for a thief to mess with. Usually thief's really don't want to mess with or making it more complicated having to steal something, they just want a quick-take-n-go steal and well if you make it just a bit more of a hassel for them, hopefully they'll just move on to the next vehicle and not spend time having to mess or deal with yours.
