There are a bunch of great pics in the various threads about the @KB Voodoo bed rack system, but there are also tons of posts to scroll through to get to them. I created this thread to be pic-heavy so show off your KB Voodoo rack all loaded up so others can get ideas of where to mount stuff.

    I'll start:

@boogie3478 how did you mount your awning? Looks like its on brackets, could you not mount it directly onto the rack?

Yeah it's on brackets. You could probably mount it directly to the Voodoo rack but I didn't want mine hanging down and blocking the cool "Voodoo" cutout in the middle of that top bar. It's sticking up just a bit now, but I'll eventually get a Prinsu for the roof so it will even out the line.

Not sure what I'm going to mount there just yet, but I add my spare mini quick fists to the rear section.

I just lined up the "top" holes on the mount with one of the long linear cutouts on the rack. Works great and doesn't move around at all.

I did place a few thin neoprene washers inbetween the Voodoo rack and the mount just to keep things protected from scratches.

Hmm I'm flirting with the idea of getting a Prinsu toprac to mount to the top of the Voodoo rack. Seems like it would be easy to mount but I haven't seen any pics of this yet. @KB Voodoo

I thought about that as well but since it won't do much as I am only putting a a RTT in the future. But I'm guessing it'll be similar as putting it on the roof of the Tacoma.

I was toying with the idea of a Rhino Pioneer platform.....just afraid of the structural integrity combined with the tonneau brackets...hmmm

Here's my mid-height @KB Voodoo rack fully loaded! It does have some minor rusting and was purchased used but I'm super happy with it.

    I have the following mounted:
    Here's how I mounted everything:
    • Tent
      • Tent to rack
        • 8x included bolts, 8x included lock washers, 8x nuts
        • Bolt > rack > tent bracket > lock washer > nut
    • Awning
      • Brackets to rack
        • 4x bolts, lock washers, nuts
        • Bolt > bracket > rack > lock washer > nut
      • Awning to bracket
        • 4x bolts, lock washers, nuts
        • Bolt > bracket > rack > lock washer > nut
    • Rotopax
      • Mounts to rack
        • 8x (included I think) 1/4x3/4” carriage bolts, 8x (maybe included) 1/4” lock nuts, 8x 1/4x1-1/4” fender washers
        • 1/4x3/4” carriage bolt > mount > rack outside > 1/4x1-1/4” fender washer > 1/4” lock nut
      • Rotopax to mounts
        • 2x included handles
        • handles > rotopax > mounts
    • Traction boards
      • Mounts to rack
        • 4x included 1/4” carriage bolts, 4x included 1/4” lock nuts, 4x 1/4x1-1/4” fender washer
        • 1/4” carriage bolt > mount > rack outside > 1-1/4” fender washer > 1/4” lock nut
      • Boards to mounts
        • 4x 3/8-3-1/2” tap bolt, 4x 3/8 lock washer, 4x 3/8 jam nut, 4x 3/8 wing nut
        • 3/8x-3-1/2” bolt > mount > 3/8” lock washer > 3/8” jam nut > traction board > 3/8” wing nut
    • Hi-lift
      • Mounts to rack
        • 8x included 1/4” bolts, 8x included 1/4” lock nuts, 8x 1/4” washers, 8x 1/4x1-1/2” fender washer
        • 1/4” bolt > 1/4” washer > rack inside > 1/4x1-1/2” fender washer > 1/4” lock nut
      • Hi-lift to mounts
        • 2x included wing nuts
        • mount w/ mounted bolts > hi-lift > brackets > wing nuts
    • KC lights
      • Lights to rack
        • 2x 8x16mm full thread bolt, 2x 3/8x1-1/4” fender washer, 2x 8mm lock washer, 2x 8mm nut
        • 8x16mm full thread bolt > light > rack outside > 3/8x1-1/4” fender washer > 8mm lock washer > 8mm nut

I’ll move the rifle case with recovery gear to the prinsu. I’m looking at those newer low profile tepui’s on the rei website. I think they are 8.5” thick when stowed. Nice and low for less drag. My mpg’s are already in the toilet...

    Hi there

Wondering how your awning is mounted?
And if you think it would work with a traditional RTT (Tepui brand) or if it would only work with those newer styles where you don’t have to unzip all the way around the RTT to deploy it?

    Thanks!
