2015 Tacoma won't go into 4H

Hey everyone!
I have had my 15 tacoma for a while now and have been working on building it ever so slowly, but the other day I was on a trail and the 4H wouldn't lock and the light keeps blinking. Does anyone know how I can fix this?

Did you try rocking forward and backward? Shifting to neutral? Turning both directions while moving?

I'd be surprised if an actuator on a 2015 was bad, though it can happen.

If you are not familiar with 4x4 sometimes the driveline doesn't line up just right to engage and it takes a little moving of the driveline for it to engage, the same can be true for disengaging if the driveline is under bind. Happened to me last weekend. This was more obvious back in the days of manual stick engagement before electronic switches.
