You could also look into getting a cold weather cover for your tent too. I got one with my tent when I bought it from Dan and it acts like a space blanket and just goes right over the tent. Haven't had a chance to use it but I feel like it'll be pretty nice!

    Love winter camping

    IMG_7811.jpg

I have a zero degree Teton queen size bag. Super cold nights I'll crawl inside like a cacoon and sleep like a baby..

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00E...dpPl=1&dpID=41JTCtAMLHL&ref=plSrch&th=1&psc=1

They do make the tent warm, even hot. I've ran one in a ground tent and rtt to take the edge off before bed and when I woke up, like you said I didn't sleep with it on.. In above pic I rode out a snow storm with the Mr Buddy heater having it on the floor of the annex room. I brought a digital thermometer to see where the temps actually were at.. Outside was high teen to low 20s, Annex built up to around 63*, and inside the tent was around 56*

Ground tent with Mr Buddy was a lot colder experience being on the ground than in RTT

    IMG_2012.jpg

This is true. It eliminates most of the seams of the RTT, still has one top side vent tho. It creates a sorta hot box even without a heater trapping your breathing as a heat source. I've also thrown it on in the middle of a windy night to keep the rain fly from flapping.

 Thanx. My build is dead, to much derp smothering the good stuff, sorta lost interest because of it. I try to pop in and reply to tags tho.

These are better and you can take layers off for summer camping. Also hes close to you and it supports a great cause. Pretty cool story actually, its something his kid wanted to do.

You've got a sweet setup! I wish we would could have a little snow like that down here. I know people up north hate it but it's too hot here and I want some dang snow to wake up to.

$400 for a 65 is pretty bad when RTIC is like half the price.
The company I bought mine from makes them! I may have to get one depending how this winter goes.
